Chapter 1
To get into traffic jam is the easiest thing, getting out of it is most tiring. After being stuck in a traffic jam for almost an hour, "Phew!! Am finally at the gate" Aisha thought to herself. She ran as fast as she could to attend her first lecture on the first day of her engineering. As usual she reached her class just on time. "May I come in maam" she said to her lecturer. The lecturer in a serious-commanding-aggressive tone said "What's wrong with you? How can you be so late on your first lecture of the year?" Aisha politely apologized and her lecturer allowed her in. The moment she took her seat, there was a deafening sound. All heads around turned in her direction. She was puzzled for a second, realizing that it was the sound of her phone she started searching for it in her bag.
Aisha falls down with a thud on the floor. When she opens her eyes she's shocked to find herself on the floor of her bedroom. She stands up, looks around, pinches herself to make sure she was in her bedroom. "Uff.. what crap.. same dream again..Bhagwaan ji... stop making me a victim of such dreams.. please" ,she speaks with an unknown entity that she believes stays with her every second of her life. "Beta.. You're getting late. You just have half an hour. Take a shower, dress up and come quickly. Your breakfast is ready" screams her mom from the kitchen. Aisha replies "Okay mom" and runs like a headless chicken in her room grabbing her towel, soap, dress and everything she needs to get ready and rushes into the bathroom.
Aisha is a bathroom singer. Every time she takes a shower she makes it a point that the volume of her song reaches the living room. Her mom and dad got used to it now. Practice anything for 21 days on the 22nd day you do it automatically. Aisha had this habit of singing from her school days. She sings so that her parents get to know once shes ready and before she reaches the dining table her breakfast is served.
Finally the singing ends. Aisha wears a red and black combo chudidhar, with matching ear rings, bracelet, she leaves her hair open, puts on a black bindi and a decent looking specs. As she reaches the dining table her breakfast is served. Her mom gets shocked on seeing her wearing specs. "Beta what makes you wear this specs, you don'y have any sight issues na?" questions her mom. "Mom first of the college na, you need to make an impression" answers Aisha. "Look at my daughter, isn't she dressed to impress" winks her dad.
"Anil you're turning her into a brat. Why does she need to impress people on the very first day?" says Sudha "Mom , just chill first impression is the best impression and moreover if you have to create an impact on your lecturers you need to put it little effort" Aisha hi-fives her dad. "Sudha our daughter is smart. So stop worrying about her" says Anil.
Aisha quickly grabs a bite of her bread, gulps down the full-glass-of-milk and says her goodbye to her mom.
Her dad is already in the car waiting for her. She rushes. Opens the door. Gets in. Puts on her seat-belt. They take off. No its not a plane. Its just a car. But Aisha never feels like driving off. Aisha is a dreamer. She dreams of flying. So as per her dreams, car takes off. Aisha sits back in her seat and thinks "Finally A New Beginning".
