Chapter-6
"If you ever love a song please don't choose it to be your alarm tone... because it can kill your love for that song when you have to wake up every morning 5 a.m. when it plays..." Aisha murmured in sleep to her teddy hesitantly trying to choose snooze instead of stop. There can be hardly 6% people in this world who don't snooze. Aisha's alarm settings were programmed to auto snooze every 10 minutes. Though Aisha opted for the stop option the alarm would go on snooze and the alarm would only stop when Aisha unlocked her inbox. If someone knew Aisha to the 'A' then its only herself, that's the reason behind the programming Aisha inserted into her phone. She always has a passion for programming which reflects in her engineering branch too... "COMPUTER SCIENCE", mind you... it's always meant to be in caps.
That morning was a little different, a bit out of her league. She checked her phone and found a message in her inbox. She ignored the sender and opened the message. The message read "Stop thinking about Mr.Mysterious, think about the band VAYU" she paused for a second and recollected her favourite band and resumed "I have got you a pass for their live concert that's taking place today evening. Stop thanking your stars and get ready by 7pm sharp. I'll pick you" by now Aisha figured out who that could be. It's Abhi. Who else knew her so well. "Thanks to my stars. Am going to witness my favourite band perform live" Aisha spoke to herself.."Oh! wait a sec.. wasn't that what Abhi asked me not to do" Aisha smiled.
It was the second day of her college and she reached her college before time to get a glimpse of Mr.Mysterious. She looked all around the campus but found none. She reached her, block dragged herself up the stairs and reached her class. She walked to her desk, placed her bag in the rack beneath the desk. As she pulled her hand back she could sense something. She peeped into the rack to find a letter. She looked around and checked her surroundings, apart from a few of her classmates there was no one with a suspectable look. She opened the letter, there was a faint fragrance that she recognized. The letter read "Don't look for me. You can find me only when I want too."
Aisha's throat dried. She has the look that normal people have when they bump into a ghost. The letter fell down from her trembling hands. The only thought that struck her mind was when she couldn't spot him, how did her spot her looking for him? How did he manage to reach her class before she did? When did he drop a note? Too many questions and Aisha had no answers. Just when Aisha bends down to pick the letter Shruthi enters the class. Shruthi notices the look on Aisha's face, Aisha din't feel the necessity to explain the whole thing to Shruthi. Aisha brushed off the topic and started describing her evening plan "VAYU- The band". Shruthi envied Aisha for the ever-ready-to-make-you-feel-special friend she had. Shruthi was a loner. She never knew how to interact with people and always chose to confide in the few people she knew. Aisha is her exact opposite. Aisha was bubbling with energy all the time, it took her just few minutes to come out of any negative state of mind. She was chirpy and flamboyant in nature.
The day went on smoothly. The lectures seemed a little boring because they were just the introductory classes. They reached the transport zone. Aisha found eyes turning towards her and she was puzzled thinking of what went wrong. The seniors bunch that ragged Aisha the previous day was spotted in a corner with no prey in hand. Aisha wanted to track Mr.Mysterious ASAP. Aisha is hyper curious at some places. She plays the role of spoil spot whenever she read a novel or watched a movie. Aisha would call up people tell them nothing but the climax and hang up laughing to herself. Being such a girl solving a mystery gave her a new kick, a new challenge to conquer. But then a thought struck her mind, she had her favourite band's concert in about less than 3 hours. She gave up to her weakness-"MUSIC" and scheduled find-out-Mr.Mysterious-hunt to the next day.
Late in the evening Aisha was in a fix. No the matter was not simple. She had a confusion. A huge one infact. She was unable to choose a dress for the concert. She had two options, she could wear a long evening gown coloured in peach that accentuated her neckline and flawlessly draped along her curves or she could wear a cream coloured top that ended right at her waistline, wrap a belt around and put on a white denim. The only person who could help her with an advice was Natasha-the FASHION queen. She quickly clicked her outfits and forwarded them to Natasha. Within a minute or less Natasha replied "Go with the top and denim. They are your thing". Aisha typed in "Thank you darlz. Your such a saviour". Aisha put on the dress, added matching accessories and waited for Abhi to honk the horn.
Just as she comes out of her gate a boy comes running to her, hands over a letter to her and runs away. "Errrrr... What's this now... " as Aisha thought to herself, her nose identifies the same faint smell. She opens the letter and reads "You look stunning. Get ready to rock the concert" Aisha folds the letter and keeps it back in her clutch. She gets startled on seeing Abhi screaming at her to get on to the bike and that they are getting late.
Aisha runs and gets onto the bike. "I'm gonna trace you out Mr.Mysterious" a mental note made by Aisha. The evening was yet to surprise her.
